DESCRIPTION:Amanda will be sharing a brief history of the Indigenous people in Canada\, teachings on self-care practices and how to be an ally. At the end of the session\, Amanda will be gifting the group with a teaching about smudging ceremonies and the medicines that are used! \nAmanda Doxtator comes from the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation and is a member of the Turtle Clan. She is an active participant\, advocate\, and teacher of the traditions\, songs\, and spirituality of the Haudenosaunee – People of the Longhouse. Amanda has over 20 years experience in the helping field (healing and social work). \n
